Silver Tool Inc. is located in the city of West Carrollton, Ohio which is a suburb of the city of Dayton. Silver Tool commonly serves local businesses as far north as Cleveland, Ohio and as far south as Kentucky.

Silver Tool Inc. was founded in 1984 by Ed McCloskey. Since then, Silver Tool has moved locations, expanded multiple times and is now home to two shops with over 18,000 sq. ft. of work space. It is our mission to produce quality workmanship while doing everything possible to please our customer.

Our Equipment

Over the years we have acquired many machines to keep up with the demanding pace and technology of custom machining. We have many mills inlcuding a Hurco VM1 3-axis machine center. We also have a couple 12" x 24" Hydraulic Water Grinders along with a Hurco TM8 CNC Lathe.

We also utilize a wide-range of inspection equipment as well as custom built CAD stations and a Smart Cam CNC Wire EDM Programming Package. For more info, please follow the equipment link in the navigation menu.

If you need machining work done we might be able to help. Silver Tool specializes in machining fixtures, gages, special machines, custom tooling and short run production. Silver Tool's Newest Equipment

Hurco VM20

The VM20 has an amazingly small footprint (96.8" x 72.9") for such a large work envelope (40" x 20" x 20"). This solidly built, one-piece machine base comes standard with a 40 taper, 10,000 rpm spindle. It also has a 20-pocket, swing-arm tool changer, making it capable of handling nearly any project. The VM20 is powered by Hurco’s integrated control with WinMax software and that’s what makes it fit more applications than any other vertical machining center in its class.
